Innovation In Education -2022

Innovation in Education, held on 2nd April 2022, brought together 500 dedicated educators to explore bold ideas and forward-thinking practices in teaching and learning. Featuring 17 interactive workshops, the conference focused on creative strategies, technology integration, and learner-centred approaches to reshape classroom experiences. This impactful event underscored AIE’s vision for progressive education and provided a strong platform for professional growth, collaboration, and inspiration among education professionals.

Guest Speaker: Arfa Sayeda Zehra

Dr. Arfa Sayeda Zehra is a respected teacher, scholar, and public speaker with over 50 years of experience in education. She studied at top universities in Pakistan and the United States, earning a PhD in History from the University of Hawai‘i. Throughout her career, she has led many well- known women’s colleges and currently holds the title of Professor Emerita at Forman Christian College in Lahore. Her work has focused on improving education and supporting the role of women in academic and public life. Dr. Zehra is known for her deep knowledge of South Asian history, Urdu literature, and social issues like gender equality and human rights. She led the National Commission on the Status of Women and has spoken widely on the importance of language and culture in shaping identity. She was also awarded the UNESCO Chair (2021–2025) for her work in promoting education and cultural understanding. Her voice is trusted in both academic and public circles. Dr. Zehra believes that education is a powerful tool for social progress. She connects lessons from history with today’s challenges, offering fresh ideas on how schools and universities can better serve society. Her leadership and insights make her a perfect speaker for the “Innovation in Education 2022” conference, where she will inspire others to think differently about how we teach and learn.
