Artificial Intelligence in Education
Artificial Intelligence is the new buzz word in education. As educators and administrators grapple with the advent of AI tools in education a lot of debates and heated discussions have come up, regarding its efficacy and role in education. People on both sides of the aisle are taking positions with some arguing that AI tools for content creation may actually harm student learning and creativity in the long run. On the other hand supporters of AI in education take the position that AI Integration in Education will enhance creativity, give students more opportunity to learn and create new things.
Some teachers are embracing AI tools whole heartedly as they see that using AI tools translates in to making better lesson plans , personalized education materials and customized teaching for their students. It cuts down on the time used for making materials such as Text, image and video generation and frees up time for creating more fun activities in the classroom.
Whether you are pro AI in education or no, one thing is for sure: AI is here to stay and will have a significant impact on the way we teach and do things in education. As administrators and teachers it is our duty to inform our students about the ethical use of AI. If done properly AI will be a positive force in educating our next generation of learners.
