Bridging Beginning: Innovation in ECE & Primary Teaching, held on 2nd November 2024, was a landmark conference designed to transform early childhood and primary education through innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning. It featured 18 expertly led workshops. The conference brings together over 400 passionate educators to explore cutting-edge strategies, child-centred pedagogies, and creative approaches to foundational learning. This dynamic event reflects AIE’s unwavering commitment to educational excellence and provides a powerful platform for professional development, networking, and exchanging impactful classroom practices.

Panellists
Fakhra Shahid
Fakhra Shahid is the Principal of Generations School International. She has been working in education for over 20 years and has a strong background in teaching international curricula. She has helped many schools improve their learning systems and supports teachers in becoming better leaders in the classroom. Fakhra has a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Bath in the UK, with a focus on school administration. She also holds an MPhil in Education Leadership and Management from Beaconhouse National University. In addition, she completed a professional course in Educational Leadership from Harvard University. She is an accredited trainer for the Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications (PDQ) and leads workshops for the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Fakhra is also a certified assessor for Pakistan’s Teacher Accreditation Program (PTAP), a PEC-PDSI from the University of Cambridge, and serves as a Principal Network Lead with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). Fakhra believes in lifelong learning and instructional leadership. She encourages collaboration among teachers and promotes professional growth. Her goal is to create schools where both students and teachers feel inspired to grow and succeed.
Tina Hameed
Tina Hameed has been a teacher and trainer for over 34 years. She has trained many teachers and has worked in schools for a long time, sharing her knowledge and experience with others. Tina is passionate about creating positive and happy classrooms where students enjoy learning. She is an accredited tutor from the University of Northampton and University College Plymouth St. Mark and St. John in the UK. Tina believes in working together as a team and always learning something new. She teaches that when students are happy and engaged, they learn better, and teachers enjoy teaching more, too. Tina has helped many teachers improve their teaching skills and understand the needs of young learners. She encourages kindness, teamwork, and high standards in education. Her work has made a lasting difference in how early childhood and primary education are taught.
Amtuz Zehra
Amtuz Zehra is an experienced educationist with over 30 years of work in teaching, teacher training, and school improvement. She is currently working as a Training Specialist at the Ali Institute of Education, where she leads programs for teacher development, curriculum improvement, and helping schools grow stronger. She has worked with respected organisations like the Aga Khan Educational Services, where she led teacher training across Pakistan to improve classroom teaching and leadership. She has a special certification in Early Childhood Education from the Aga Khan Institute for Educational Development and is also a certified Master Trainer through the Teachers’ Development Centre. Amtuz has worked as a consultant with many schools in Karachi, Lahore, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). She helps with academic planning, training school leaders, and promoting student-centred teaching. Her mission is to support teachers and school leaders in developing skills that match the needs of today’s learners.
