    Ms. Sabeeh Qayyum - Rector

Ms. Sabeeh Qayyum brings to AIE, an overall professional experience of over 18 years. Ranging from organizations like Beaconhouse School System, Bahauddin Zakriya Univeristy, British Council and Nestle, Ms. Sabeeh has played a major role in providing strength, support, direction and assistance to enhance and improve the overall performance of the departments/organizations she was worked for. Acquiring/possessing academic background in English Literature, Business Management and Counseling, as well as having travelled extensively in the world, for Ms. Sabeeh, diversity is the key to professional and personal development.

     
    Ms. Mehr J. Agha – Registrar

Mehr J. Agha holds a MPhil degree from Institute for the Study of Civilizations, Aga khan University (ISMC) London, U.K. Having received her schooling in Canada, Mehr is currently working as the Registrar at Ali Institute of Education. Previously she was employed as the Head of Centre for Career Counseling and Job Placement at Lahore College for Women University. Mehr has also served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Gender and Development Studies at Lahore College for Women University where she taught various courses on Gender Studies.

Mehr has also served as Adjunct Faculty at the Punjab Judicial Academy training Civil and Additional District Judges in Judgment Writing. She has also worked at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), at the Suleman Dawood School of Business.. Mehr has worked as an advisor to the Secretary Higher Education Government of Punjab, with the Higher Education Department, in order to set up Career Counseling Office at various Public Sector colleges. Mehr is a Certified Trainer of ILO (UN) on Entrepreneurship (International Training Centre of ILO Turin), Certified Trainer of Active Citizens Program (British Council and Citizenship Foundation, UK) as well as a National Ambassador for Internationalization—UK Inward Mission Program (British Council).

     
    Mr. Abdul Majeed – Manager Finance and Administration

Abdul Majeed is currently working as a Manager Finance and Administration. He is a Highly motivated, 15 + years’ experience of financial management, budgeting, forecasting and administration. Mr. Majeed has a M.B.A Finance , Punjab University.

     
    Mr. Steve Ryan – Academic Advisor

Mr Ryan has worked in education for over 30 years and in this time he has worked across the entire range of education provision, from early years’ education through to higher education. He has also worked extensively in ‘special education’ for a number of years in the UK. As a teacher, manager and teacher-educator he has worked globally, gaining a rich and diverse perspective on teaching and learning from countries in Africa, China, Saudi Arabia and Vanuatu, and of course Pakistan. He has experience working with a number of schools and colleges in Lahore as well as higher education providers and businesses. He believes that the role and importance of teachers has increased in significance with the demands and expectations of life in the 21st Century. With this in mind, his personal goal is always to work with teachers and education providers to ensure that all learners have access to the best quality education within their specific contexts.

     
    Ms. Maliha Hassan – Head Continuous Professional Development Centre

Maliha Hassan holds a Master Degree in English Literature from Lahore College for Women University & TESOL certification from Trinity College London (UK). Maliha is currently working as the Head of Continuous Professional Development Centre at Ali Institute of Education. She has also worked with the British council as an IELTS trainer.

     
    Mr. Saad Sahil – Head Projects and Consultancy

Saad Sahil is heading the Projects & Consultancy department at AIE. He is responsible for researching, developing and executing projects that improve the educational and learning experience in schools. His department works with hundreds of low-income private schools and government schools all over Punjab & KPK. With his team, Saad trains the school principals, teachers and students to improve the institutions’ culture and environment. Saad has an MBA from LUMS and is passionate about teaching & mentoring students and entrepreneurship.

     
    Dr. Haider Ghulam Agha

Dr. Ghulam Agha has a vast experience of teaching at School, College and University levels. He has served as principal at Unique Group of Institutions for 10 years. Agha has been teaching at Department of Special Education University of the Punjab as member of visiting faculty and also holds the position of a honorary columnist in an esteemed national newspaper ‘Roznama Abtak”. He is a researcher and writer with enthusiastic fervor in the interest of community development.

Dr. Agha has also worked in different capacities in different organizations (Pakistan Advance Research in Education (PARE), Novice Writers Association Lahore, Unique Education Society Lahore and AFAQ Lahore) as volunteer, consultant and advisor. ``

     
    Ms. Sarah Ibrar

Sarah is a committed senior lecturer with over 13 years of experience at the Ali Institute of Education. Her area of teaching is in Professional Studies and Early Childhood Education. She is equipped with skills required for constructive and effective teaching consequently promoting a stimulating learning environment that inspires and motivates students to become Professionals. Sarah consistently strives to create a challenging and engaging learning environment for students to become lifelong learners.

     
    Ms. Maria Shiraz

Maria Shiraz is a faculty member for the Professional Studies Department. Her expertise are in areas of Pedagogy, Classroom Management, Assessment, Educational Psychology and Early Years. She has been engaged in various projects. Currently, she has completed her coursework of PhD (Education) and is working on her thesis. She has presented papers in international conferences held in Pakistan.

     
  Abdul Hannan Gill

Abdul Hannan Gill is currently working as the Manager Audio Visual Section at the Ali Institute of Education. He has done his Graduation from GC College Lahore, Masters from Punjab University Lahore and has attended Summer courses from Columbia University NY USA -- Documentary film as an Art , Use of Technology in education. His job is to facilitate the students and faculty during the class and provide AV facilities for the presentations and classes. Further his responsibility is to record microteaching demo lessons and produce program’s for distance learning.

 
  Mr. Zia Rathore

Zia Rathore is working as the Section Head of Mathematics and as the Controller of Examination. Throughout the service he has been involved in managing sectional responsibilities, teachers training, designing and developing a range of workshops, models, training manuals, textbooks and customized courses for in/pre-service teachers from public and private organization. Few of these organizations are Unicef, Pre-STEP Pakistan, Directorate of Staff Development Punjab, Punjab Education Foundation, Progressive Education Network, GIZ, BRAC Pakistan, Belkes teacher training college Rawalpindi, Schools of FFC, Queenmarry, Sayeedanwala, DPS, Al-Murtaza etc.

He is actively involved in educational research, supervised a number of research studies which were published in AIE Journal for Research and Innovation in Education. He is a member of ‘AIE Journal for Research and Innovation in Education’ editorial committee. He also conducted seminars on various educational issues. Zia is also the convener of the Moderation Panel at AIE – A panel which ensures Academic and Assessment Quality at AIE.

 
  Ms. Aqsa Kamran

Aqsa Kamran is working as an Assistant professor in the Science Education Section of Ali Institute of Education from the last 16 years.

She has done M.Phil in Chemistry and M.Ed. She has conducted numerous trainings and workshops on different forums in the field of Science Education. Recently, she has written two Science Text books for Grade levels -3 & 4. Ms. Aqsa has also served at AIE as Principal Intermediate College.

 
  Mr. Ali Imam Syed

Ali Imam Syed is working with Ali Institute of Education (Ferozepur Road Lahore) as a ICT Manager Information & Communication Technology and Computer. He organizes Video conferencing, photography prints medium designer i.e. poster, banner, fliers, admission forms, prospectus, etc. Conducts a computer literacy course, Informational methodology course and Costumer Service course for AIE Students and concern staff members.

He is also administrator of ERP System He is Managing 200 + node wired and wi-fi network, hardware software trouble shooting, DSL, E-mail, Proxy Server, manage AlE website, FB, AlE promotion material, and all kind of managerial tasks.

 
  Ms. Samia Chattha

Samia Chattha is working as a Senior Lecturer and Chairperson in the Language Education Section. Currently she is pursuing her MPhil research work from Kinnaird College Lahore. She gained her Masters in English Language Teaching from Kinnaird College Lahore and is an old graduate of Ali Institute of Education. Her major areas of teaching include English Language Teaching, Communication Skills, curriculum development, as well as Post Graduate certificate courses in ELT and Language Improvement for in-service teachers.

 
  Ms. Sumaira Latif

Ms. Sumaira Latif is working as a lecturer in Language Section at Ali Institute of Education. She has done her M.A English (Literature & Linguistics) from National University of Modern Language (NUML) and M.Phil in Applied Linguistics from Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore and she has also acquired relevant professional education and training to get the right concepts of teaching at Ali Institute of Education. She offers different workshops on different concepts of English Language Teaching.

 
  Ms. Sadaf Iftikhar

Sadaf Iftikhar is working as a lecturer in the Language Department at Ali Institute of Education and visiting faculty at Government College University, Lahore. She did her MPhil TESOL and MA TESOL from Lahore College for Women University, Advanced Diploma in ELT from Forman Christian College and M.Sc Communication Studies from University of the Punjab.
