OPEN ACCESS

Open-access literature is digital literature that is available on the web, free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. Committing to open access requires dispensing with the financial, technical and legal barriers that are designed to limit access to scientific research articles to paying customers. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.

The International Journal of Environmental and Science Education (IJESE) publishes original research from throughout the world dealing with environmental education and science education. It publishes articles on psychological, sociological, economic and organisational aspects of environment and science education, as well as evaluation studies of curriculum development in these fields. Its main aim is to allow specialists working in these areas the opportunity of publishing their findings for the benefit of institutions, teachers, and students. It is hoped that the journal will encourage high quality research that will lead to more effective practices, behaviours and curricula in environment and science education. The journal is published quarterly.

Pakistan Research Repository

Pakistan Research Repository is a project of the Higher Education Commission to promote the international visibility of research originating out of institutes of higher education in Pakistan. The aim of this service is to maintain a digital archive of all PhD theses produced indigenously to promote the intellectual output of Pakistani institutions. It provides a free, single-entry access point to view the manuscript of research executed, and distribute this information as widely as possible. The repository which is currently being populated with content has already made the full-text of PhD theses available in high-quality digitised formats, whilst further theses are in process of digitisation. The Higher Education Commission has introduced a systematic mechanism for the collection and digitisation of all the theses produced so far in Pakistan
